A Brief Overview of the Chevy Traverse
The Chevy Traverse is a mid-size SUV produced by General Motors with seven to eight-passenger occupying seats. It shares the same platform with plenty of other models, namely the GMC Acadia, Cadillac XT6, and Buick Enclave. The model was released as a successor of the Chevrolet Uplander and TrailBlazer which were discontinued in 2009.
The very first production of Traverse was assembled at Spring Hill Manufacturing in Tennessee, USA, in 2009, before the production was moved to Lansing Delta Township Assembly in Michigan, only a year later. The Traverse was introduced at the Chicago Auto Show in 2008 and began to hit dealerships in October 2008.
The 2023 Chevy Traverse will come up as the 6th model year of the model’s 2nd generation. This generation was revealed for the first time at the North American International Auto Show, Detroit, in January 2017 as the 2018 model year.
The Traverse’s primary market is North America, but the distribution has been expanded across several South American countries, the Middle East, Russia, and South Korea as well.
Expected Engine to Power the Upcoming Traverse
The Chevrolet Traverse has a lengthy history with an adjusted trim range. The most amount of trim it has ever offered was seven, but the 2023 model is most likely to follow the previous model year to bring only five trim grades, starting from the entry-level L and ending with the fully loaded trim High-Country. Front-wheel drive (FWD) system comes standard for all variants, with optional all-wheel drive (AWD) available for all trims except for the base L. 2023 Model Design Predictions
A refresher model of the Traverse just arrived with last year’s model. At first, this facelift version was planned to arrive in the 2020 calendar year as a 2021 model year. However, due to the situation of a global pandemic due to the COVID-19 outbreak, there were said to be issued within the production. Therefore, the launch was delayed to 2021 and it came up as a 2022 model year.
This facelift brought quite a lot of changes, which are predicted to make a comeback with the 2023 Chevy Traverse. Some of them are the slim LED headlights and taillights and DRL LED turn signals. Inside, the Traverse receives new upholstery, smartphone connectivity features, and a new 8” infotainment display screen. A set of safety features such as auto high-beam headlamps, lane-keeping assist, pedestrian warning, and automated emergency braking come as standard. Most of these features were added based on the feedback from the users.
Possible Arrival Date
The targeted market of the new Traverse will be similar to before with the USA, Canada, Mexico, some countries in South America, etc. It will also continue to be assembled in the Lansing Delta Township plant. If the upcoming model year follows the launch timing of its predecessor, which it most likely does, then it will enter the market in the fall of 2022.
The Chevrolet Traverse is going to be here at least until the 2024 model year. By then, it is expected that the current generation of this vehicle, including the 2023 Chevy Traverse to go under minor improvements, updates, and adjustments.
