The Wrangler and Grand Cherokee plug-in hybrids were introduced in rapid succession. There are more to come, including the full-size Wagoneer electric vehicle and two other yet-to-be-detailed 2024 options. But none will be watched as closely as the Jeepiest among them all, the 2024 Jeep Recon.
The automotive industry is constantly changing, influenced by consumer preferences and social attitudes. The Jeep Comanche was a compact vehicle that ceased production. And the Wrangler evolved to a four-door configuration. This is also reflected in Jeep’s push to electrify transport, which led to the development of the Wrangler hybrid 4xe, pronounced four-by E. This culminated with the Jeep Recon, which is the brand’s very first electric vehicle. It’s based on the legendary Wrangler.
The Jeep Recon, like the Wrangler and Ford Bronco competitors, will have a power-folding top and easily removable doors.
