2024 Jeep Recon EV: Price, Specs & Interior – Jeep revealed its 3-pronged approach in order to be an EV leader. Three different electric SUV models will debut before 2024. The Jeep Avenger is a compact but tough crossover that’s designed for Europe. Next, there’s the Recon which has global ambitions, and the Wagoneer S which will be a luxurious and more mature offering.
Jeep Avenger is the vehicle that was referred to as Jeepster EV by some speculative news reports announcing its arrival. The vehicle will be produced at the Stellantis plant in Tychy in Poland and will debut on the European market, for which it was designed exclusively next year. The Jeep will retain its rugged appearance, but the smaller dimensions will allow it to be more appropriate for Old Continent narrow roads.
The makers of the vehicle are aiming for a WLTP driving range of around 400km (250 miles) per charge. It will be offered as a front-wheel-drive car in lower trims. The vehicle will be built using the STLA Small Platform, which has been exclusively used in front-wheel-drive vehicles. However, it is an upgraded and reworked platform so it may now be possible to add a back motor. It seems odd for Jeep to only sell FWD cars, so AWD should be included.

Next up is the Jeep Recon. This boxy, off-roader is designed to take on the toughest off-road terrain right from the start. The Jeep Recon is a completely new EV that isn’t based on an existing Jeep ICE model. According to Christian Meunier the CEO of Jeep, not many details are shared.
Reservations for North American Jeep Recon models will begin in 2023. However, the Jeep Recon is a model that will be available in many other markets as well including Europe.
Jeep’s all-new all-electric Wagoneer, codenamed Wagoneer S and due to debut in the US next year, but aiming for a worldwide market, was revealed as the final reveal. The vehicle will have a standard dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup, with up to 600 horsepower (0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds). It is expected to be revealed next year but will target a global market. Recon EV will join Wagoneer EV in the Jeep lineup as two new electric models. Jeep Recon EV is a mid-size SUV, which means it will be about the same size as the Jeep Wrangler and two-row Grand Cherokee. Jeep has announced that reservations will be open for the Recon EV in early 2023, with a target production date of 2024.
Jeep has not yet revealed the Recon EV’s price, but it is reasonable to assume that it will cost more than the Wrangler. We also believe that the Recon EV will likely follow the Wrangler trim-level structure. Starting with the entry-level Sport model, the price and luxury quickly escalate to a fully loaded Sahara High Altitude. Interior
Although we haven’t seen the official specs yet, the Jeep Recon interior appears spacious, sturdy, and functional. The flat floor should allow for more room in the rear. The overall design is geared towards bringing the outside in. A lower beltline and larger windows along with the Sky Slider Roof echo that sentiment.
Jeep Recon is expected to feature Uconnect, the latest infotainment technology. It will also come with pre-programmed travel guides that will show the most suitable off-road routes for a weekend getaway. Knowing the brand we are looking forward to finding unique Easter eggs within the specific design of the 4xe Evolution.
The Jeep Recon’s trunk space is divided into two areas: the frunk and the area behind the rear seats. With the rear seats folded down, cargo storage space is estimated to be around 30 cubic feet. Although we don’t yet have the exact numbers for the rear or front, the EV-based chassis should make it more practical than the ICE version.
Release Date
Jeep’s press release clearly indicates that the vehicle will be all-wheel-drive. This fall, the Jeep Avenger is set to make its debut at Paris Motor Show.
