2024 Toyota Tacoma Redesign: Will the 2024 Tacoma be Redesigned?

2024 Toyota Tacoma Redesign: Will the 2024 Tacoma be Redesigned? -There have been some fascinating speculation floating around the internet about a probable makeover of the Toyota Tacoma in 2024. According to a claim published by The Fast Lane Truck, fresh spy shot photographs reveal a disguised version of the popular truck that is being driven around for testing purposes. The vehicle in question might very well be the 2024 iteration of the truck. 2024 Toyota Tacoma Redesign

Even though the vehicle is very well concealed thanks to the camouflage that has been put over it, there are a few specifics that we are able to deduce about it based on what we know about Toyota and the other models that it produces. For example, the foundations of this midsize truck seem to be similar to those of the new full-size Tundra in the photographs. This might indicate that they are shared. Through the openings in the draping, it is possible to see the horizontal bars that run over the grille, which is extremely evocative of the distinctive design of the Tundra SR5 model. But, not much of it is visible in the photographs.

We anticipated some freshly designed headlights and taillights as well, given that this vehicle may be fashioned after the Tundra, and according to a drawing that was included in a patent file in Brazil, it seems that we were correct. The rendering was made available by Toyota Brazil. According to the documentation for the invention, both vehicles are equipped with rectangular fog lights that are integrated into the bottom area of the bumper. The truck features boxy fender flares and a creased part that runs the lower area of the doors and dips down diagonally at the front. When seen from the side, the truck has a creased section that runs the lower section of the doors.

The rear suspension is another characteristic that has been purposely obscured from view. There is a rumor going around that the rear leaf springs that are now used on the Tacoma will be replaced with coil springs on the 2024 model. This would be significant for two reasons: first, it would make the car easier to drive on a daily basis, and second, it would set the new Tacoma apart from other vehicles in its class that still utilize the leaf-spring setup. In spite of the fact that we anticipated that a new Tacoma may arrive as early as this year, the carmaker has announced that the 2023 Tacoma will in fact be a carryover model.

It’s possible that the makeover may include changes to more than just the product’s outward look. The whispers of alteration have even spread to the engine compartment. The present Tacoma, which is in the third generation, has a V6 engine that is 3.5 liters in capacity, but it is not certain that this engine will carry over into the next generation. Instead, we may get a 2.4-liter engine with turbocharging or a four-cylinder engine with turbocharging. While this may result in a decrease in horsepower by a few mpg, the torque might be increased from the present value of 265 pound-feet to a value of 317 pound-feet. We are unsure as to whether or not a manual gearbox with six speeds will still be an accessible option, but there is a good probability that an automatic transmission with eight speeds will be the standard transmission.

According to The Fast Lane Truck, which cites an “insider source,” the engine options for the 2024 Toyota Tacoma will include a 2.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine similar to the one found in the 2023 Toyota Highlander as well as a hybrid engine similar to the one found in the Toyota Crown sedan. The four-cylinder turbocharged engine in the Highlander SUV generates 265 horsepower, while the hybrid powertrain in the Crown generates 340 horsepower. It is not yet known whether or not the engine in the revised Lexus RX hybrid will give an increase in power compared to what will be available in the Tacoma hybrid.

When It Will Be Available and Its Cost

We do not yet have a specific delivery date for the new 2024 Toyota Tacoma since we are unable to confirm that the car shown in the spy images is indeed the new version of the Tacoma, even though we believe it to be the case based on recent patent filings from Brazil. On the other hand, taking into account the average release window for models like this one, the United States release may not take place until sometime in late 2023 at the earliest.

At this moment, we do not currently have price information for the 2024 Tacoma in terms of the MSRPs. As a point of comparison, the current pricing for the Toyota Tacoma ranges from a starting price of $28,585 including destination for the standard SR model with its 4-cylinder engine to a maximum price of $50,625 for the TRD Pro V6.
