2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Price: How Much is a 2024 Grand Wagoneer? – Jeep never before had built an SUV as large and luxurious. Three rows of seats and up to 8 people can be found within its massive shell. Grand Wagoneer L with a long wheelbase has even more space for storage behind those eight seats. The longer Grand Wagoneer L will also be harder to maneuver than the already heavy counterpart. Despite its length, Jeep’s largest model has a terrible fuel efficiency rating, with a total EPA of only 16 mpg. This estimate doesn’t apply to a V-8 with large displacement, but rather a twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine that has 510 horsepower. This engine will get you and your precious cargo to the destination on time and with exceptional comfort. Jeep Wagoneer offers a cheaper, but less luxurious, option for those who don’t want to spend six figures.
Changes
The Grand Wagoneer L will be available in 2024. The wheelbase of the Grand Wagoneer L is 7 inches longer and overall it is a foot larger than that of the Wagoneer standard. The extensions add a lot of cargo space to all three rows. The long-wheelbase version is powered by Stellantis Hurricane, a twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 510 horsepower. The base Grand Wagoneer trim still offers a 6.4-liter engine with 471 horsepower. It is available as standard in the Grand Wagoneer L.
The Series II trim looks like the most value. The Series II trim level comes with 22-inch alloy wheels, two-toned roofs, leather upholstery, and better-quality leather trimming, as well as a 10.3-inch touchscreen display for the passenger.
Jeep has announced that all models, including Grand Wagoneer, will be equipped with a battery-electric powertrain before 2025. It’s not clear what that powertrain will look like. The hybrid Grand Wagoneer might use a similar powertrain to the Ram 1500’s base model. It has a naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V-6 engine and starter generator for a total of 305 horsepower. Another option is the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and electric motor found in Wrangler and Grand Cherokee, which produce 375 combined horsepower. The Grand Wagoneer is heavier than any of these vehicles. It’s going to take more power and muscle for the Jeep full-size’s 3+ tons.
The letter “L” indicates the Grand Wagoneer with a long wheelbase. The Jeep Grand Wagoneer L, which will be available in 2023, is 12 inches longer than the standard wheelbase version, with a 7.0-inch larger wheelbase. The cargo area is significantly larger, even though it has the same legroom. Jeep says you can fit an 8×4 sheet of plywood in the cabin when the third and second-row seats are folded.
Interior
The Grand Wagoneer offers large families the opportunity to enjoy the Jeep lifestyle. This has not been possible for the past few years, since the Commander. The standard second-row seating is a pair of captain’s seats, with the option to add a bench for maximum capacity. The luxury Wagoneer cabin features a variety of high-tech and elegant features.
Interior features “Easter Eggs” that are inspired by the Grand Wagoneer original, such as a steering wheel with two spokes and a “EST. 1963” inscription. The “EST. 1963” appears at the edge of the dashboard as you open the doors. This grandest Wagoneer offers customizable interior lighting as well as a head-up display, camera-fed rearview mirror, and rear seat monitoring system which displays video on the touchscreen. The standard-wheelbase version has a cargo space behind the third seat measuring 27 cubic feet. When stowed, it gives 71 cubic feet behind the second row. The long-wheelbase version has 44 cubic feet of space behind the third seat and 89 with the seats flattened.
The Grand Wagoneer’s multifaceted infotainment is one of its most impressive features. The Jeep dashboard has screens even without the digital gauge cluster. In the middle of the dashboard, there is a 12-inch touchscreen. This sits over a 10-inch touchscreen for HVAC controls. The Series II adds a 10.3-inch screen for the passenger in the front seat. Standard features that are desirable include an Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Wi-Fi Hotspot with a monthly subscription. USB ports can be found in each row. The second-row seats also get a 10.3-inch screen between the captains’ chairs. If you opt for the rear seat entertainment system, two 10.1-inch screens are added. The McIntosh audio system is standard on every Grand Wagoneer, however, the Series II-up gets a 1375-watt stereo with 23 speakers.
Engine
The new Grand Wagoneer L long wheelbase comes with a brand-new engine. The Hurricane is a 510-horsepower twin-turbo inline-six paired with an automatic eight-speed transmission and four-wheel drive. The 6.4-liter engine with 471 hp is available on all models except the Grand Wagoneer L. This powertrain comes as standard in the Grand Wagoneer L. In our testing it was the new I-6 that beat out the V-8, accelerating the Grand Wagoneer L from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds. The Grand Wagoneer, like its rivals in the domestic market, uses body-on-frame underpinnings. In this case, they are derived from Ram 1500 pickup trucks.
The Jeep has an independent suspension at the rear, as opposed to the solid axle of the Ram truck. This gives it a more comfortable ride, and better handling, than its Ram counterpart. The Grand Wagoneer, along with several different four-wheel drive systems, offers a suspension system that is adjustable. It can be raised or lowered by up to half an inch. The Grand Wagoneer also has a 10-inch ground clearance and can tow up to 9860 lbs. It is capable of towing water for two feet. The Grand Wagoneer’s relaxed, refined ride is a pleasure on highways. However, the pickup-truck-style structure can cause jiggling when the road surface is not smooth. The SUV’s body roll is noticeable on curves and it makes the vehicle feel less agile.
The 2024 Grand Wagoneer with inline-six is rated at 14 mpg for city driving and 20 mpg on the highway. If you choose the L-long wheelbase model, this rating drops to 19 mpg. These figures are a little better than those for models with the 6.4-liter V-8 engine, which is rated 13 mpg in city driving and 18 mpg on the highway. The Grand Wagoneer L inline-six achieved 20 mpg on our highway test route at 75 mph, part of the extensive tests we conduct. 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Price
