2024 Jeep Gladiator Mojave: Interior, Specs & Price – Jeep’s reentry into the pickup truck market for the 2020 model was a big deal. Jeep Gladiator, the new truck Jeep made after years, represents the entire brand. It’s not the most popular mid-size pickup truck. It does offer a lot, particularly in terms of trims. The 2024 Jeep Gladiator Mojave is one of them, and it’s confusingly good.
Design
The Wrangler Rubicon trim may be a Jeep icon but it comes at the cost of some comfort. The Gladiator’s longer wheelbase can make it feel more comfortable on the road. Let’s face it, the majority of new Jeeps spend more time on highways than on trails.
Due to its length, it won’t offer the same breaking-over angle or turning radius as Jeep Wrangler. The 2024 Jeep Gladiator Mojave truck should be able to handle various off-road scenarios.
The Jeep Gladiator Mojave is equipped with FOX 2.5-inch shocks. These shocks help this mid-size pickup achieve its goal to become a desert runner. Jeep even gave them orange accents so they stand out. These shocks are only available for the Mojave version.
This mid-size pickup is more comfortable to ride thanks to the upgraded suspension. You also get increased capability if you choose to travel the less-traveled road. This is something not every 2023 Gladiator has to offer.
A refreshed Jeep Gladiator is not surprising, given that a new Jeep Wrangler will be arriving soon. Jeep didn’t even try to hide the Gladiator facelift when we saw it out and about. The silver model was spotted in a parking garage, giving our spy photographer ample time to take some detailed spy photos.
You may remember that the 2024 Wrangler was unveiled at the New York Auto Show earlier this year with a smaller version of the iconic seven-bar grille. The entire grille, including the surround, is black. The front bumper has also been modified, with the body lines positioned in the middle. The turn signal lenses have been changed, as well as the taillights.
The interior is completely covered, but the exterior is uncovered. When our photographer swooped in to get some close-ups, he was met with covers covering the entire dashboard and the driver’s chair. It confirms we are looking at a production model and not a one-off. While we can’t make out anything on the dashboard, we are fairly certain that there is a larger touchscreen in the center. The 2024 Wrangler was launched with a 12.3″ landscape screen that required an extensive redesign of the dashboard to work.
The circular climate control vents were replaced by small horizontal vents below the screen. The prominent grab handle on the passenger’s side was repositioned so that it created a nice horizontal line at the bottom of the dash. If Gladiator gets the same treatment – which there is no reason to believe they won’t do – then the interior would be covered in heavy materials.
Upgrades to the Uconnect 5 system and the Trails Offroad guide will be included in the refresh. The Gladiator’s powertrain options will remain unchanged, but it could receive some upgrades to its axles or suspension components.
Engine
The Mojave trim does not offer the EcoDiesel engines that are available on other trucks. However, the standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 is included. The engine is a long-standing one that has appeared in many FCA vehicles. It produces 285 horsepower in this application and 260 pound-feet of torque.
A 2024 Jeep Gladiator Mojave is also available with a manual six-speed transmission. This is a rare find in the segment of mid-size trucks. It is good to see that a brand offers a standard transmission. Most people will opt for the automatic transmission available, but it’s nice to have a choice.
Price
The 2024 Jeep Gladiator is a pricey truck, but it’s worth it if the Jeep mid-size trucks are what you need. Jeep put the Gladiator Mojave to the test during its development. Mojave was put through rigorous desert trials to prove its worth.
The 2024 Jeep Gladiator Mojave is priced at $50,645. This is a bit expensive compared to other midsize pickups. There aren’t many trucks that can do everything the new Jeep truck can. The Jeep Gladiator Mojave with its aggressive styling and attitude is a great choice.
