In addition to the price increase, the Edge receives a few trim-specific updates. First, ST models now have an optional interior aesthetic package and a standard perimeter alarm option. Other new standard features include an Iconic Silver honeycomb grille with a chrome surround on SE and 2024 Ford Edge SEL models and Iconic Silver fog light bezels on SEL cars with the convenience package.
Although the ST model’s increased V-6 horsepower sounds attractive, its price is not. We would choose the mid-range SEL model with the turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The increase in price from the SE to the SEL is justified by the addition of numerous features, such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a partially digital gauge display, a nine-speaker stereo system, heated front seats, a six-way power-adjustable passenger seat, LED fog lamps, and more.
The exterior design of the 2024 Ford Edge is sleek and fashionable. The body-color rear spoiler and black exterior mirror caps give the Edge a sense of sportiness, while the body-color door handles and black lower molding enhance the elegance. Due to its dual integrated exhaust system, laminated windshield, and auto-lighting headlamps, which also provide a touch of modernity, the Edge has a strong, elegant look.
Interior
The Edge’s two-row interior provides enough space for four persons and is a pleasant spot for commuting or road trips. Materials throughout the interior are well-selected, although panel fit-and-finish may be improved; our test car had a few misaligned dashboard components. The interior design is basic and unobtrusive, with enough space for passengers and baggage.
If storing items in the trunk is crucial to you, the section of two-row crossovers is ideal. The Edge held 29 of our carry-on luggage when the rear seats were folded down. Its load space is comparable to that of its rivals, but the Edge’s clever storage cubbies and somewhat larger interior may clinch the sale.
All Edge models are equipped with Ford’s most recent Sync 4A software interface and a 12.0-inch touchscreen display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard and can function wirelessly. Ford provides Wi-Fi hotspots on all Edge models, although navigation remains an optional extra.
Standard Engine
